Currently her role is working to improve the economic development of the Principality of Asturias, through coordinating an specialized team completely focused on supporting Asturian companies. Her responsibilities cover various fields, investments, finance, internationalization, innovation, infraestructures, etc.
Previoulsy at this current responsabillity, she managed during 7 years a business acelerator, a Business Innovation Centre (BIC), focused on innovative and technology new companies, where developed her skills, achieved mainly through her former experience, working in the venture capital market during 8 years.
During the time she worked in venture capital company, She carried out two different work tasks: Firstly as investment director, and after that, as investment department Coordinator. In that time, She was member of 13 boards of directors from participated companies.
Also, she has participated in the set up of ASBAN (Asturias Business Angels Network) and was vicepresident of ANCES (Spanish network of Business Innovation Centre)
In last years has participated in many programs and activities related to start ups at international level, both in the EU ecosystem as in Iberoamerican countries, being expert evaluador of SME Instrument of European Commision, and independt expert in the interim assesment of Eurostars 2 Program.
